I began to ask God how should I study and the he ask what does study mean? I began to think it means study, God said look up the word study, I did and here’s what I found. Study means to observe and investigate closely, to learn to scrutinize (diligence-being zealous). It involves total effort of the mind, will, emotion.
Then I began to look up words that are synonymous to study: analyze, meditate, ponder, reflect, think, investigate, search. So I began to understand that God’s wants us to investigate, scrutinize, analytical, and to diligently look at his word. 2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: by giving diligence in studying the word of God we will not fail in Christian living and it will help us become more certain about our calling along with developing Godly character.
